our 70 schools

We have 34 Yeshiva high schools for boys, 21 Ulpana high schools for girls, three state religious schools, nine Hesder yeshivot, three Mechina schools, and two colleges.

Our schools stretch from Eilat to the Golan and from Ofakim to Efrat.

There is simply no greater way to have an impact on the education of young Israeli men and women than to help support the yeshivot and Ulpanot of Bnei Akiva.

yeshiva & ULPANA high schools

The YBA educational network includes 34 Yeshiva High Schools for boys and 21 Ulpana High Schools for girls. In accordance with the philosophy of HaRav Avraham Isaac HaCohen Kook, zt"l, these schools combine a love for Am Yisrael, Torat Yisrael, and Eretz Yisrael with a high-level academic education, creating strong religious Zionist Jews who contribute significantly to their communities.
In addition to the original residential schools in rural moshavim, YBA has established in the past two decades several non-residential yeshivot and ulpanot in outlying development towns, bringing its unique brand of quality religious Zionist education to children from low-income homes and new immigrants living in Israel's periphery.

Community colleges

YBA offers men and women and outstanding higher education - in the spirit of the education offered at its Hesder Yeshivot - at two affiliated Community Colleges. The Orot Israel College has two campuses, one in Elkana serving women and another in Rehovot serving men. Midreshet Orot Etzion in Givat Washington provides vocational training for women. The young women enroll in these colleges after having served their country by volunteering for Sherut Leumi - Israel's National Volunteer Service - in schools, hospitals, senior citizen centers and other facilities throughout Israel.

Hesder Yeshivot

YBA operates nine hesder yeshivot, which combine Torah learning and military service, including Yeshivat HaKotel, with its renowned Overseas Students program. Countless students from these yeshivot have served in elite combat units, doing their duty and serving the country, while remaining faithful to their commitment to Torah study and observant Jewish life.

YBA offers three pre-IDF training programs for students wishing to strengthen themselves spiritually and physically before their induction to the army. Mechinat Or Mofir is a unique, five-year program for Ethiopian youth with leadership potential. It combines Torah study, army service and general studies to produce future leaders for the Ethiopian Israeli community. The Mechina of the Northern Negev rehabilitates underachieving youth-at-risk and motivates them to become combat soldiers and officers in the IDF.

Educational conference center

In 2004, YBA acquired the Ramot Shapira Educational Conference Center in Moshav Beit Meir, outside Jerusalem. Today Ramot Shapira serves as the headquarters of Yeshivot Bnei Akiva in Israel, the Shaar HaGai Field School and the Leiberman Institute, and hosts students and teachers from all the schools in the YBA network, as well as groups from other institutions, for educational seminars, workshops, field trips and conferences.
