He’s a Basketball Star, a Bnei Akiva Student, and a Role Model: Meet Bnaya
Bnaya , like many teens, enjoys playing basketball. What sets him apart is his professional-level basketball skills: Bnaya plays for the Maccabi sports league and is headed towards a career as a professional basketball player.
Bnaya’s success necessitates a grueling workload: in addition to attending school, Bnaya maintains an intense basketball practice schedule. Balancing schoolwork along with basketball training isn’t easy. Bnaya credits his rosh yeshiva, Rav Fruchter of YBA Givat Shmuel, for helping him juggle his responsibilities. “The school is very supportive; without that I couldn’t manage both roles,” he explains.
Bnaya inspires other religious students to achieve their goals. What’s his formula for success?
“In order to achieve, you have to work hard and refuse to give up. Every day you have to try your hardest, do your best and you’ll reach far.”
