Six students from the US and Canada win scholarships to YBA schools
For the sixth consecutive year, the Sommer Family of Chicago has awarded scholarships to outstanding American and Canadian students accepted to YBA schools in Israel. The grants from the Edythe Sommer Memorial Torah U’maadah Scholarship Fund are in memory of the mother of Mr. Marc Sommer.

Six talented young men and women were the recipients of these annual stipends. Melissa Stieglitz from Los Angeles and Nechama Pressman from Toronto will be spending the year at YBA Orot Israel College for Women in Elkana. David Halpern from Bala Cynwyd, PA, Judah Siegal from Los Angeles and Shlomo Clark from Bergenfield, NJ will be spending the year at YBA Yeshivat Hesder Hakotel. Moshe Cohen from Montreal will be learning at YBA Yeshivat Hesder Or Etzion. AFYBA wishes them all a successful and productive year.
